 The mission of the Builders Association of Pagosa Springs, a Not-For-Profit Corporation, is to unify all those in or associated with the building industry in Archuleta County by providing a forum of education for the builders, associate members, and their clients.
The Association is dedicated to enhancing the public perception and understanding of quality construction and planning. Our participation with the local Building Officials and our continuous and uniform achievement of quality building standards and practices both locally and statewide will make the building experience for our members and their customers a pleasurable one, while insuring safety and quality workmanship.

Candidate Endorsement
The Builders Association of Pagosa Springs (BAoPS) Board of Directors voted this week to endorse Bob Hart for Archuleta County Commissioner. The Board recognized that County Commissioner candidate, Bob Hart would bring the qualities of leadership, business experience, advocating of teamwork, hands on approach, and community service to the County Commissioner office.
Bob Hart has been a member of the Builders Association for the past 10 years. He served twice as President of the Association. Bob Hart has proven his business approach to management and solving problems. Bob Hart understands local economics and how supporting business is the way to provide jobs and financial stability to Archuleta County. Bob Hart is an avid supporter of smart and controlled growth. For the past year and a half Bob Hart has been representing the Builders Association as a Chairman of the Town Tourism Committee. Under his leadership, lodging tax dollars saw a 9.2 % increase in Pagosa Springs while surrounding Communities such as Durango and Southfork saw declines of 10%. These are all qualities that the Builders Association of Pagosa Springs supports. The Leadership of the Builders Association hereby announces its endorsement of Candidate Bob Hart for Archuleta County Commissioner in recognition of Bob’s ten year record of community service, teamwork, hands on approach, business experience, and leadership in our community.
The Association sponsored a Candidate Forum on June 16th where the Candidates presented their platforms. After that forum, the Board decided Bob Hart should be elected as County Commissioner to bring business management experience to local government.
The Republican Primary is August 10th, 2010 and early voting begins on August 2nd. The Builders Association encourages everyone to vote during this important time in our Community and to place your vote for Bob Hart. Help shape the future of Archuleta County, VOTE for Bob Hart.
